If you’re in the field of earning income from online ads, the following message is the most dreaded one:

“Your Google AdSense account has been disabled or temporarily banned”

Last year a European blogger friend of mine, who was doing decent job at blogging, sent me message that his Google AdSense account was blocked. All was well when he went to sleep in the night but when he woke up, he found that nasty email from Google waiting in his inbox. His years of hard work had gone down the drain in just a few hours and he did not even know what he did wrong. Then for the next couple of days, he and I discussed the best alternative of Google AdSense for his blog.

Alternatives are important. Professional blogging is a great career —it has a lot of attractive advantages in it. But at the same time, professional blogging is a hard and very risky business. You should not keep all the eggs in the basket of blogging and in case of blogging as well, you should not rely completely on any one source of online income.

It is important to know Google AdSense alternatives. There are several advertisement options that you can use in absence of AdSense.

Google AdSense is undeniably the best source of income for professional bloggers —and bloggers should not try any sort of trickery with Google. Any violation of AdSense policies, intentional or otherwise, will attract heavy punishment from Google. They are very strict about following policies. Therefore, you should be aware of and use the best AdSense alternatives. In this article, I will discuss some of the options that you can use in place and in addition to Google AdSense.

Amazon Associates as Google AdSense Alternative

You’ve definitely heard of Amazon as a great online superstore where you can spend money on great deals. But Amazon can also help you make money! They have the Amazon Associates Program which you can use as alternative to AdSense.

Amazon has a vast variety of products and if any of these products are relevant to your blogging niche, you can advertise Amazon products on your website. If your visitors buy any product through ads on your website, you’ll get a commission from this sale.

For example, if you advertise a latest gadget worth $500, and if your visitor buys one from Amazon, you’ll receive a commission ranging from $25 to $50. Amazon pays you different percentage of commission for different types of products. For example, for books they give you 10% share and for electronic items you get 5% commission.

Amazon Associates Program can make you good money! You can use it as an alternative to Google's AdSense.

Amazon is a great alternative for Google AdSense. It works on Cost Per Sale (CPS) basis instead of the Cost Per Click (CPC) or Cost Per Thousand Impressions (CPM) models. Amazon pays you by bank transfer in the USA and by cheque everywhere else in the world. The good thing about Amazon is that you can also use it along with AdSense.

Infolinks as Google AdSense Alternative

Google AdSense is the largest online advertisement network in the world (see: Google Facts!) but it is not the only one. Infolinks is another online ad network which is significantly visible on various blogs and websites across the Internet.

The best thing I like about Infolinks is that they have come up with some new ad layouts. Their ads are different in style from the conventional ad units. As a result, Infolinks ads ensure low ad blindness and you get a higher click-through rate. Those bloggers who are looking for an AdSense alternative often first use Infolinks.

If you need an AdSense Alternative, go for unconventional ad formats from Infolinks.

If you need an AdSense Alternative, go for unconventional ad formats from Infolinks.

Infolinks is essentially an in-text advertisement network. Their script scans the content of your blog and selects certain words and phrases. Then these words and phrases are turned into advertisements links. Visitors may click on these links within your content and view the ads.

Infolinks also provides slide-in ad banners, in-tag ads (similar to the AdSense link units) and in-frame ads. All these unconventional ad formats will help you better monetize your web traffic.

BuySellAds as AdSense Alternative

Space on your website is like real estate which you can actually rent to the advertisers. You can carve out ad spaces in your website design and sell these space to advertisers to show their ads. Well, of course, the first part is very easy but the real problem comes in the second part. You can easily say, “I have this 728px x 90px Leaderboard ad space on my website and I want to sell it”. But finding someone who would be interested in putting an ad in this space is the real challenge. That’s exactly where BuySellAds comes in picture.

If you can get into BuySellAds network, it could turn out to be better than Google AdSense!

If you can get into BuySellAds network, it could turn out to be better than Google AdSense!

BuySellAds is an advertisement market that helps you find buyers for your ad spaces. However, it is very tough to get into BuySellAds network. You must have a great amount traffic on your website. Also, your traffic needs to be the quality traffic. Your visitors must be the likely customers of the ads that BuySellAds provides.

If you can get an approved account from BuySellAds, you’ll surely love this as an alternative of Google AdSense.

Chitika as AdSense Alternative

Founded by Venkat Kolluri and Alden DoRosario in 2003, Chitika ad network is pretty much like Google AdSense. Just like AdSense, it serves contextual ads (i.e. the ads related to the content of your website). Chitika has a good enough reporting system to let you know how much you’ve earned.

Unlike Google AdSense, where minimum payout is $100, Chitika can pay you when you have just $10 in your kitty. Minimum payout is $10 if you’re accepting payment through PayPal. If you will choose to receive money through cheques, however, the minimum payout is $50. Chitika works on NET 30 terms.

Chitika ads serve as a a good option for Google AdSense.

While Google serves ads for millions of advertisers, smaller ad networks, like Chitika, sometimes have few but high paying advertisers. Therefore, sometimes, CPC in Chitika could be as high as several dollars per click. However, it happens only occasionally. In comparison, Google AdSense, CPC hardly touches one dollar per click for Asian websites.

Another good thing about Chitika is that they serve ads only to the search engine driven traffic. That is to say that only those visitors will see the ads who will come through a search engine. It is a generally accepted fact that the search engine traffic converts the best into earnings.

If your AdSense account is not approved, it has been blocked or not performing well, you should sign-up immediately.

Media.Net (Yahoo! Bing Network) as AdSense Alternative

Neither Yahoo! nor Microsoft could break the monopoly of Google in the online advertisement business. So, they came together and created Media.Net as a challenge to Google’s AdWord/AdSense program. Needless to say, Media.Net is nowhere near becoming a challenge for AdSense —but still this ad network is a good alternative of Google AdSense.

Media.net is a Yahoo! and Bing joint venture.

In comparison with AdSense, Media.Net allows you to have more control on the appearance of ad units. They allow you to change color, font, and shape of your ad units so that they can better integrate with your website’s design.

Media.Net has minimum payout of $100 and they work on NET 30 terms basis.

Adversal

Adversal is an excellent AdSense alternative, especially if your website is in a language other than English. Google AdSense supports a number of major languages (recently AdSense began to support Hindi language as well). If you don’t have an approved AdSense account or it gets banned, and if your website is non-English, then you would certainly want to try out Adversal.

Adversal is a good option of AdSense for non-English websites as well.

Adversal is a good option of AdSense for non-English websites as well.

It has been noticed that Chitika may not work great with non-English language websites; but Adversal works like a charm. In order to get into Adversal, you need moderate traffic on your website. They generally accept websites with more than 50,000 page views per month. Adversal ads attract high CTR and their payout amount is significantly low, you’ll get paid when you have $20 in your account.

Qadabra

Qadabra pays you more if you perform better! Qadabra, formerly known as AdsGadget, is a performance based online advertisement network. They have good ad coverage and as a result they will be able to fill most of your inventory. If you’re accepting money through PayPal, you can receive a payout even of just $1. For Payoneer Card, minimum payout is $20 and for wire transfer it is $500 minimum. While the PayPal payout is amazing, wire transfer payout is on the higher side. Beginners should opt for PayPal and later on when your revenue increase you can switch to wire transfer.

Getting approval from Qadabra should not be difficult for websites with moderate traffic. After approval, you can add their code in your website to show the ads. Qadabra has got standard ad formats as well as slide-in banners and pop-up ads.

RevenueHits

RevenueHits is a great alternative of AdSense. It is also a performance based network. Your earnings are determined by how ads on your website perform. RevenueHits was established in 2008 and now they claim to be serving about 2 billion ad impressions. RevenueHits offers not only the ads for websites but also the ads for mobile apps.

All sorts of standard ad sizes are supported. In addition RevenueHits gives you popup, pop-under and button ads also. If you really need one, you can even ask for a custom sized ad from RevenueHits. They claim to have 100% ad coverage all over the world. Cost Per Action (CPA) ads work the best on RevenueHits but they also claim to offer the highest CPM rates. RevenueHits is a promising option that you should try out.

Clicksor

Clicksor pays 60% of their ad revenue to the publisher. For PayPal their payout amount is $50 and if you want money through wire transfer, you’ll have to wait until you accumulate $1000 in your account. Clicksor is pretty transparent in their working. They offer a CPM rate of $0.02 (i.e. you earn $0.02 for one thousand ad impressions).

Propeller Ads Media

You would need a Skype or ICQ account in order to sign-up for Propeller Ads Media. This is one of the largest ad networks for pop-under ads. Some of the niches that may do well on Propeller Ads Media are finance, software, entertainment, videos/movies, games and dating.

What is pop-under ad? A pop-under ad opens in a new window and then usually gets minimized or go out of focus. Such ads are high CTR and have high conversion rates. Propeller Ads Media uses On Click Pop Under approach so as to become less intrusive to the visitors. In this approach, the ad window opens only when the visitor clicks anywhere on your website. If visitors will not click, the ad window will not open.

More Google AdSense Alternatives

The other day I wrote an article on the best CPM Networks for getting ads. These ad networks include Tribal Fusion, CPX Media, Technorati, Advertising.com, Conversant Media, Burst Media and Adtegrity among others. You can use any of these networks as Google AdSense alternative. These ad networks give you the best CPM rates and also provide ads under CPC and CPA model of revenue.

Conclusion

Google may have lots of reasons for not approving your AdSense account OR to ban it anytime you would put a toe outside their policies. In case your AdSense account has not been approved or if you have been banished from the AdSense world —you should not lose heart. Remember, AdSense is not the end of the world. As I explained above, there are numerous AdSense alternatives for you to choose from. There are lots of bloggers out there who deliberately don’t use Google AdSense and still make loads of money. So, if you think AdSense is the only monetization option, you should think again. Blogging is all about fun and doing good job. If you’ll produce good content, you’ll certainly have good traffic. And there is no dearth of AdSense alternatives if you have good traffic. So, don’t worry about AdSense. Just focus on producing good content. Rest all shall follow automatically.

Alright, try out above mentioned options. These options will come both as a sigh of relief as well as a waft of fresh air. And, yes, please do let me know your experiences!

I hope this information on the best alternatives of Google AdSense was useful for you. Should you have any questions in this regard, please feel free to comment and ask. I will try my best to assist you. Thank you for using TechWelkin!

    hi
can you suggest some good ad network besides Google AdSense that pays good rate for Indian traffic. Thanks.

  2. Sam Jackson says:

Google AdSense is the best revenue advertising program but I really don’t agree that it’s the best of all. Adsense has VERY strictly rules and may ban you even if you didn’t do anything to get that ban and the worst thing is, you cannot appeal (you can but you won’t get your account back).

Infolinks- this is probably the worst advertising media, it has ONLY Facebook ads and they are really not targeted that’s why I really don’t recommend this media, really bad.
AdSense wins if you can have your account.

    • Lalit Kumar says:

Sam, AdSense has strict policies —but if you play by the rules it indeed gives the best revenues.

      • Mrs. Neelam says:

Lalit, I agree with Sam Jackson. Google Adsense is good but they don’t listen to user; they suspend and ban many accounts with No Appeal Option.

By the way – I liked your this comments system. Which one is this ?

        • Lalit Kumar says:

As I said, Google AdSense is really very strict. They should have some appealing system in place and they should consider request in more humane way. Their algorithm can make wrong decisions. But as far as revenue is concerned, AdSense is the best paying ad network.

  3. Steven revenue says:

Frankly in my point of view RevenueHits is the best AdSense alternative in 2016

  4. Frederick says:

I read your article with great patience as I find very interesting to go through every line.
My question is for a beginner how to get traffic to my website ?

  5. iklan online says:

Thanks for this ad network list, can AdSense be used alongside propeller ads? Thanks

  6. Ramesh says:

I have small doubt of adsense alternatives. You have written an article about adsense alternatives networks. How many ad networks can be used to the website including with adsense. For ex: I used adsense and Inoflinks. Shall i use one more ad network to my site. If use which problems will i face. If i use any harm to the adsense. Please clear my doubts

    • Lalit Kumar says:

Hello Ramesh, you can use other ad networks along with Google AdSense. I would suggest not to use more than two ad networks as it may slow down your website.

  7. Hemz says:

For me Media.net and infolinks convert very well along with adsense. I have tried chitika on couple of my blogs, and observed that if you have US or UK traffic it converts very well, if not you might end up in getting some pennies for other country traffic.

Recently signed up with adversal and the results have started to build up when compared to last month.

    Hi,

For me Google Adsense have been the easy one. But, it is always good to know about other great alternatives.

I have used many of it as trials, and top three are Infolinks, Viglink and RevenueHits.

    Nice list. :)

  10. Alex says:

I’ve been told not to use any popup ads with Adsense to avoid getting my network of sites ban. Also, some say that Propeller Ads Media sometime serves adult content which is against Adsense policy since their target market are more family oriented! Any truth to these statements and is it safe to use Adsense along with Propeller Ads Media?

    • Lalit Kumar says:

Alex, although I have not come across any substantial source that could shed light on how AdSense likes to work with popup ads. But intuitively, as far as I understand Google, I would say that Google will not like if a webpage uses popup ads. But also I think that you do not risk a ban if you use popups along with AdSense ads.

As for adult content in ads of Propeller Media, I can not comment because I have not seen such content through their ads.

  11. Menafa says:

i recently added the RevenueHits ads on my website, can you please suggest me that how can i get better result and how can i get more revenue from my ads! also which format of ads should i use. Please help, i m new comer.

    • Lalit Kumar says:

Hi Menafa, first of all, it takes a bit of time before you can see good results from RevenueHits ads. So, be patient. As they say, pop-under ads and above-the-fold ads perform the best.
