To answer these questions, we decided to do research and we made a simple list of Indian celebrities with highest number of fan following on micro-blogging site, Twitter.
Celebrities all over the world use Twitter and Facebook to connect with their fans. Although, Indian celebrities were a bit late to jump on to the bandwagon -but they finally have arrived! The presented list was compiled in September, 2014. Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan leads the pack with over a million Twitter follower. And likewise, most of these people are actors in Bollywood. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been a new entrant into this list following his high-pitch election campaign which he won!

Amitabh Bachchan is the most followed person in India. He is undoubtedly the super-duper megastar of Indian cinema. And he rules the Indian Twitter as well. His closest competitor, Shahrukh Khan is way behind him and it is unlikely that the Bachchan senior will get dethroned in near future.
