If you’re in New Delhi and wondering anything related to a Metro train journey, now you can avail all the information in your smartphone!
Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), the agency that runs metro trains in India’s capital city, New Delhi, has launched a new mobile app. The new app shows you the map of metro network in the city. You can see various metro stations, distance between various stations, fare that you need to pay for traveling between any two stations.
Based on your geo-location data, the app also shows you the nearest metro station. If that’s not enough, you also get to see the tourist spots near every metro station.

Mangu Singh, Managing Director of DMRC said, “the application will provide information about nearest metro station, fare, route information, Metro map and even tourist destinations near stations”
There are even more sections in the app. For example, Tour guide, Metro Museum, Lost and found and Other info will give various other useful information to the user.
At present the application is available for iOS (used in Apple products iPhone, iPad etc.) and Android platforms.
