Google is seriously using its financial and technological might  for digitizing world culture and preserving it online. In the latest effort, Google has introduced a project called World Wonders Project. The search giant is making use of its street view technology to film the famous man-made and natural site on the planet.

So far, the project has 132 such sites in 18 countries. The filmed street views have been made available on the website of project. In addition, text information, photos and videos are also available to make your virtual tour complete.

Most of these locations are not accessible by the usual “Google car” that the company uses for filming cities. Therefore, Google used camera mounted trikes to reach these location and get as close to the points of interest as possible.
