On Facebook, we keep getting invites for start using this app and that app. Some of these invites present an app to be highly irresistible and just out of curiosity of knowing what these apps are people keep accepting the invites. Soon, there comes a stage when you find yourself subscribed to hundreds of apps –most of which you no longer use (or have never used!)
Notifications from these unwanted apps keep filling in your notification box; which causes many important notifications to get buried under these useless ones. And you wonder, if you could remove these apps from your account.
Yes, you can remove these apps and stop getting notifications. To do this, go to Account Settings and then click on Apps (the link is present in the left hand sidebar)
Facebook will show you a list of apps that you have subscribed to. Click on “Edit” link given for the app to-be-removed. As soon as you’ll click Edit link the app details will open. A new link “Remove App” will also display. Click on this link to remove app.
Once removed, the app won’t be able to access your profile information and you will not receive any notifications as well.
We recommend that you keep only those apps that you really use. Some of the Facebook apps are nuisance and some have known to be potentially dangerous too.
thanks….
